Sometimes, for various reasons, your outgoing mail will get stuck in the outbox. When this happens future email will not be sent because the first one is stuck. (note: the same principal works for other email clients)
To fix this issue you will need to delete/move the problem email. To do this do the following:
Get Outlook into offline mode
go to File and click on “Work Offline”
Next go to:
“Tools” -> “Send/Receive” -> “Send/Receive Settings” -> “show progress”.
This will bring up the outlook send/receive progress window. Click on Cancel if anything is in progress.
Once all done, go to the Outbox and remove the problem email. You will want to go to “File” and get Outlook back online.
