Cpanel provides 2 login locations for each type of user (root or domain). One is secure (https) the other is not (http).
To administer CPanel or take administrative actions you would open a webbrowser and go to the following site (user “root”):
https://yourdomainoripaddress:2087
or
http://yourdomainoripaddress:2086
To login to cpanel as a domain level user (ie the account manages webhosting/email for a specific domain/website) you would go to
https://yourdomainoripaddress:2083
or
http://yourdomainoripaddress:2082
In both cases (logging in as root or domain) it is generally recommended, for security reasons, that you use the first option (https).
