Plesk – Cannot Delete Domain Hosting

June 30th, 2010

If a domain hosting cannot be deleted in plesk on a windows system, try and disable the anti-virus.

Anti Virus resident shields can prevent the plesk system from running the required programs to delete/remove the domain hosting.

Plesk – phpMyAdmin file not found 8443/domains/databases/phpMyAdmin/export.php

June 24th, 2010

If you try and export a DB in plesk and get the error message:

File not Found
can’t find the file at https://xx.xx.xx.xx:8443/domains/databases/phpMyAdmin/export.php.

Then chances are that the memory_limit for php is too low for the operation. The simple solution is to SSH into the server and do the following:

Go to : /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/
Edit : php.ini
and increase memory_limit, a good level is 512MB
restart plesk control panel (/etc/init.d/psa stop/start)

Once you restart the plesk control panel test the export once more. It should now work

Plesk – Not detecting PHP installed

June 18th, 2010

If you see the value of php as not_installed, you probably have to edit the database to detect the currently installed PHP version. Follow the steps below to do this.

Findout the current PHP version:

#php -v

Then, edit the psa components table

#mysql -u admin -p’cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow’

mysql> use psa;
mysql> update Components set version=”4.4.6″ where name=”php” limit 1;
mysql>\q

Restart plesk:

#/etc/init.d/psa stopall
#/etc/init.d/psa start

Plesk – DrWeb notifications failed to deliver drweb@…

February 6th, 2010

If you are getting emails with the following error message you have probably recently updated plesk.

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at panel.host.name.
I’m afraid I wasn’t able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I’ve given up. Sorry it didn’t work out.

This issue exists since ‘drweb-updater’ package sets up cron task for update.pl – Dr.Web 4/5 affected.According to plesk, this issue will be fixed in future update of Parallels Panel that will be released after version 9.2.3.Currently their are 2 work around resolutions :

1. Disable mail sending to ‘drweb@’ by cron. From drweb/doc/updater/readme.update:

CronSummary = {Yes | No}
If “Yes” value is specified, Dr.Web Updater will output statistics on
each session to stdout. This mode can be used to send administrator
notifications by email, if Updater is run by the cron daemon.
Default value:
Yes

Set CronSummary to ‘No‘ in section [Updater] in /etc/drweb/drweb32.ini.
Open the configuration file and find option CronSummary in section [Updater]. Change value to ‘No‘:

/etc/drweb/drweb32.ini
;—————————————————————
[Updater]

;CronSummary = { Yes | No }
;        The Dr.Web Updater prints out a result of update session to stdout if
;        this option is set to “yes”. This feature can be used for an adminstrator
;        notification by e-mail if the updater is executed by cron.
CronSummary = No

2. Create ‘drweb@’ alias to admin email. This may be done with following command:

~# cp /var/qmail/alias/.qmail-drweb-daemon /var/qmail/alias/.qmail-drweb
